We use a forum format where all postings are visible as one scrolls up the page; this helps us feel like we are all in a space together. A detailed description of the ritual room seems to help people visualise a common space. Particpants are of all levels of expertise and experience, and of any number of different traditions or paths. We post a list of suggestions for cyber-circle etiquette on the way into the ritual space.

Rituals are open to anyone who has participated in the House O'Chatter for long enough to be known to the group. Generally, a volunteer HP(S) will set the time and ask for volunteers to help with various circle duties as s/he feels are needed. S/he may offer anything from an invitation to write the parts spontaneously and eclectically to scripts...or offer some guidance to the volunteers based on either her needs or theirs.

Participants gather at the appointed time and greet each other quietly while everyone grounds and centers. The HP(S) will then lead the group through a group focus exercise, casting, calling quarters, and invocations as s/he sees fit. Within circle, work my be done by group visualisation, calling for individual workings to be supported by the group, or collective workings using various images, activities, readings, chants, dances, or other means. Generally, we raise a cone of power to send off our intentions by using a well-known chant and visualising ourselves dancing.

We have successfully sent healing to each other and to our family members, done deep healing exercises for each other, observed Sabbats, and raised energy to aid each other in various goals.

We debated for some time about whether these rituals should be available publically to anyone who cruises through the site. Some felt that for magic to work, the workings must be kept secret: others felt that posting these workings of love and light for anyone to read would help dispel the myths that witchcraft is in some way evil. We feel rightly proud of the good work done in these rituals, and feel it would be a shame if they are never seen.

We have reached a compromise position by saying that the rituals will be available from two months after the ritual date in order to allow the magic to work before they may be read by those who didn't participate. Because they may contain material of a personal nature, names may be changed on request.

The URLs will be made available to those who request them from Lunah in email, demonstrating some good reason for wishing access. Such reasons might include wishing to participate in an upcoming ritual and wanting to get an idea of what happens, wishing to do cyber-ritual at one's own website and wanting to see how various other people have done it, or a sincere and open-minded wish to see what ritual can accomplish.
